When ploughing, the farmer Iwan finds a huge green bronze bell. Its ringing makes everyone happy who hears it. When the Tsar hears about this wonder bell, he wants to take it from the farmers. Since nobody can move the bell, however, he orders to smash it to pieces. But the pieces are transformed into small bells which the farmers hang on their shoulders.
